This is a sound clash tournament with an objective of promoting and nurturing the sound system culture in east Africa, advance traditional format of sound system competitions; modernize yet preserve traditions of the sound clash industry; cultivate, expose or contribute to the careers of selectors and sound systems; bring selectors from behind the ‘sound’ and brand them as stars; and transform the clash from just talking on a mic.
